Tip 2 for a more Joyous Christmas

Last week I talked about planning and believing in having a Joyful Christmas. This week I want to talk about giving presents at Christmas. We live in a very materialistic world and unfortunately many people - adults and children alike - have unrealistic expectations with regards to presents they feel they ought to buy and/or receive. There is true joy in giving - but only if the giving is coming from our heart - and not from someone else's expectation. The Beauty of the Human Spirit

This past week has been an emotional roller coaster for me as I followed the unfolding story of the Pike River Mine explosion - and I know that I am not alone. The story that ended in tragedy on Wednesday afternoon with a second large explosion gripped our small country and seemed to affect every kiwi with a heart, regardless of whether we personally knew any of the miners or not.
